Sandra A. Maddox, Esq.

          Sandra A. Maddox is the founder of The Maddox Law Office.  She represents federal agencies (conflicted out of their EEO matters) and federal employees located around the world, as well as private sector employers and employees in Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) informal and formal complaint processes, in hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”). She also represents clients in civil rights matters under and 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (which allows people to sue the government for civil rights violations including excessive police force).  Sandra has been a certified EEO Investigator since 1995 and a mediator since 2005, trained and certified by the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights in Baltimore Maryland.  

          Sandra’s practice also includes immigration law where she advises businesses on a range of immigration issues, helps businesses to develop long-term strategies to extend their workforce, assists in developing business immigration law compliance programs, and works with investors & entrepreneurs in creating immigration solutions to fit business needs.  Sandra also assists individuals with family, employment, and marriage-based immigration, nonimmigrant Visas, talent-based immigration, EB-5 investor Visas, student Visas, nationalization/citizenship, and more.

          Sandra is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. She obtained her law degree from The American University, Washington College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Philosophy, Religion, and Education, from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.  

          An advocate for clean energy, education and the arts, she is the Owner and CEO of TERRA Renewable Technologies, Inc., national Chair of Fund Development for The Society Foundation, Incorporated, Supporting the Arts, board member and legal counsel for the Mary’s Way Foundation LLC, member of the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, and member of The Links Foundation, Incorporated.

L. Shavonne Jordan, ESQ. - Of Counsel

          L. Shavonne Jordan practices civil law in areas including, but not limited to, Civil Rights, Employment law, Copyright & Trademark law, Business Counsel, and Diversity & Inclusion.

She practices before both state and federal courts, the EEOC, MSPB, The Department of Labor (“DoL"), U.S. Patent & Trademark Office ("USPTO"), and other federal and state level administrative bodies.  

          Ms. Jordan provides proactive advice to employers and employees in the areas of equal opportunity, discrimination, workplace harassment, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discipline and discharges, layoffs, internal misconduct investigations, collective bargaining agreements, union activity, workplace safety issues, drug and alcohol testing, disability/religious accommodation, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Jordan regularly counsels and advises clients on internal investigations, whistleblower, ethics violations, hiring decisions, termination decisions, reductions-in-force, employee discipline, personnel policies, medical leave, and wage and hour matters.  In addition, Ms. Jordan conducts internal workplace misconduct investigations and advises employers and employees on appropriate responses to employee misconduct and administrative proceedings before the EEOC, MSPB, and other administrative bodies.

          Ms. Jordan obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from North Carolina Central University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and the State of Georgia, and she is admitted to practice before the Washington, D.C. Court of Appeals, State Courts of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Georgia, and the federal United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  Ms. Jordan conducts various trainings and is a certified EEO investigator and Title IX investigator.

Kimberlee JOnes, ESQ. - Of Counsel

          Attorney Kimberlee Payton Jones specializes in immigration litigation and injury litigation. She grew up in Washington, DC, where she began her search for justice. From a very young age, she was active in her community and strove to improve her quality of life, both locally and abroad. She is a compassionate advocate with a heart for justice. In addition to her practice, she is active in the community. She has served as co-chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Georgia Alabama chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association which serves children in immigration court through the Lawyer of the Day program.  

          Attorney Jones is a graduate of the University of William & Mary and Georgetown University Law Center. She also has advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Emory University.  She served as Co-Chair of the Judicial and Public Office Academy, Chair of the Political Action Committee, and Chair of the Georgia Association of Black Women Lawyers Working Mothers Committee.
